Disconnect and Save Your SanityThere are no such things as 40 hour work weeks for me. Actually, I haven’t had one since med school. It’s Wednesday, and I have already clocked in over 45 hours, meaning 15 hours daily. From 6am when I rise to when I decide to shut it down at 9pm or 10pm, always hustling. I decided that in the evening, even if for 15 minutes, I silence my phone and put it into airplane mode and disconnect from the world. Our smart phones have become our lives and consume us. Social media rules us. There’s always the good and the bad. Just know how to balance it all to preserve your sanity. Tonight, I put my phone away (besides taking this pic and posting, lol) ate dinner, made a berry lemon infused vodka drink, and took time for myself. It’s not only important, it’s necessary.
