MEET LAUREL FRIEDMAN
Laurel was initially interested in yoga for its physical benefits. As so often happens, she discovered that yoga can be a powerful instrument for personal growth. As a teacher, she explores the strength that builds from movement as well as the power that resonates within the quieter moments of breath-work and stillness. Laurel’s mindfulness and movement practice combines playful sequencing with an emphasis on respect for and acceptance of ourselves and others.
Laurel’s approach to teaching yoga is informed by more than a decade in higher education in the United States and internationally. Her work in the field of communication has reinforced a human-centered approach to problem solving that values big-picture thinking coupled with attention to the little details that help us thrive as individuals.
